Sundown In Plumb

Day ended in plumb charade
Reaching up from the earth
And filled the sky with song
In my element, I sat alone
Far from the crowds so lonely
Quiet came

Knowing night sat patiently by
Laying a hand slow to wave
Nodding last call to air born
Quiet came in its wisdom
Quiet came

And I returned to simply living
Weeding out distraction and grass
From my garden of glass sentimental
Thinking of sunset, blooming in rose
Drinking in the last of sanity
Quiet came

Exquisite!  Not everyone notices and values that "quiet comes".  It is to your credit and benefit that you do.  I do too and what a blessing it is.

Right now, as I type, there is a fair wind blowing soft leaf music through my indigenous forest garden, but in between the notes, there are delicious soul-quiet pauses that are sustained below the notes and heightened by your poem.

Within the quiet there is so much to hear.  You've penned a lovely poem here - thank you.

TD

Agreeing with the others....quiet is a most special time, no matter what time it is.  Thanks for seeing it and sharing.

TD, I enjoyed the quiet solitude of your words so much that I am tucking this poem safely away so that I can absorb its peace when I am about to lose the last vestiges of my own sanity.

Love, Peace, Joy, & Harmony,
