Standing in the doorway with emotions running raw. Hoping that today would be better than all the days before. You were supose to love me or did you forget? What happen to protecting me and always being there? The battlelines have been drawn in our very home. How did you gorw to be my own worse enemy? Should have never let it happen. Or should have walked when it did. Always figured things would get better. Or maybe you'd just change. Trusting in the promis of "never again". Believing that the blame was really all mine. Hiding from the public out of deep rooted shame. Looking back into the home we built all the memories are blurred. Happy memories torn apart all in one fateful night. Disagreements had been one thing but now a fist fight? Threw black eyes and blue tears and more than a little fear. I step out into the world to be free once again. Know yourself before you try to know someone else. |
