Michelle Beholden

05 April 2006

Beauty a shell, held to an ear
Her voice a whisper of sweetness
This taste of honey to favour
nothing more, nothing less
a heart in kind

Each wave, a moment of surrender
captured within eyes of blue
Her home, her haven
this place to dwell in love

Heartbreak Hotel
her Neverneverland
An Ontario to savour
in a world to beholden true

Like a shell cast off, or held to your ear
each whisper a poet in words to listen
A Michelle if need be
where her smile was to say “hello”

“Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death:
because it was not possible that he should be holden of it”
Acts 2: 24 KJV
