Legends
turn to stone
sometimes
and prophets’ words
to dust.
Blind
never truly see
unless
they learn to trust
and love.
The White
may grace us
once again
but chances
slim, at best.
Perhaps,
if angry hunters
could put their guns
to rest.

The White Buffalo is very special and carries much meaning, as does this poem.  Excellent!

So well said, Jo!  Yes, if only they would put the guns away but, you know, they don't think there's anything wrong with themselves and so, therefore, there's no hope of rehabilitation into appreciation of the wild.  I don't like this world I'm living in at all - the world of "humans", I mean.
