I have lost
respect and friends
watching you play them
like this
a little harpsichord and I
am so so weary of the script
Why?
the rabbit with the ears
asks me,
"why do you wear suits
of this stupid womanhood
with teats sewn into seams
like this
why
do you
do it?

sometimes, after a length of time and so many chances, just asking why isn't the answer anymore...especially when there is never an answer to why

The hits just keep on coming and you just keep on writing them. This one smacks of tired.

Karen

its so hard to know why....I understand this, more then ya know, and thank you for saying it so well....hugssss you....

And so it those we live with
and should know who elude us
But we can still love them
we can love completely
without complete understanding

Myself, this
poem spoke unto
and I would say
over a drink
[tea or otherwise]
with you

that suits are for those
who must best

but you? And I?
shall say
the test has passed,
and we, survive,
in picking fights
that have
no side.

Sorry....
you made me think!

This was inspired by a conversation with my daughter as we discussed the multi-layered premises of the movie, Donnie Darko.

'nuff said?

no?

Go watch the movie then...

thanks for reading

my ex loves this movie..I guess it would have helped if I didn't fall asleep while watching it, then I would be able to be like Oh yeah I totally understand the poem..tho he did give me the reader's digest version of the movie the next day.  The bunny rabbit thing was creepy lol
