Head first I throw myself into advancing armies of your best black and whites
Covered head too toe, dripping in vivid color
Lashing out, throwing anguish and anxiety under your feet
Covering walls in love and dreamscapes

I take your hand, pulling you from the front lines
I tear off your suit, and dress you in reality
Leading you blindly, we charge thorough dank city alleys
Leaving handprints of ourselves, we scale the walls of impossible heights

I pull you mightily atop the tallest building,
You drop your cell phone and don’t look back
We kick down antennas, enraged but empowered
All over the city, people wake up

No one understands
We rip off our skin, exposing what the world needs to see
Hand in hand we stand without fear on the edge of a skyscraper
Our eyes hungrily devouring all that is our domain

Strong winds of change snap your hair away from your neck
Leaving you exposed to the chilled air
Shivers of rapture rack your body
No city lights can find us up here

Illuminated by the pale moon, I glance too you sideways
I am met with a cocky grin
Breathing deep, absorbing life, we topple forward
A small child cries out at such a sight, while their parents scrub the graffiti from the walls

Hard streets change into dreams of a real life
And they become welcoming
Winds of change sweep away shades of gray
Leaving smooth sailing all the way to the bottom
