From Shallow to Depth

A poetically practical person paused
tennis-clad feet ankle deep in
clear liquid cool,

not to place a spring in time
but to time a spring in rush

knowing another would welcome
some wonder of her wander

So, this is where I begin my day,
in a poet’s photographic splurge,

skimming some shallow,
knowing from whence the iced mountain
it traveled, falling first in avalanche,
then in white water,
hitting upon rocks, dissolving particles
into time,

time, and substance,
narrowing, widening, thinning,

an awakening of a morn,
trickling, traveling…
sweet and clear, only toward
its some one day meeting
with destiny,
and a tear drop
of salt,

taking its final plunge
to the sea, onto some depth, beyond
light, toward some core,
where heat bubbles
from a center
that evolves
in time
with
life.

[to be continued]

I can't wait for the warmth so I can walk the trails or bike them here. I promised myself not to ignore  nature this year !

That's it exactly. Certainly not the highway, and no low way....the deep way.

not to place a spring in time
but to time a spring in rush

love the easy play of those two lines!

Hope all is well with you, friend (and how's the book deal goin'?)

tis beautiful Sunshine, all her wander...

And so it those we live with
and should know who elude us
But we can still love them
we can love completely
without complete understanding

Well that certainly asks for reading over  and gazing again. What a magnificent duo, photo and poem.

It's very good Sunshine.  Maybe even great!

Let me read it agin, at times, your words over my head.

But, that's not your fault.
Hugs,
Bubbles
