In Retreat

Once again I feel darkness envelope me
I let the glow of a rainbow touch me, knowing in the end
Its light would fade away
I nearly broke a promise to myself
I caught myself just short of going headfirst
I will not hold back the darkness
From taking me into seclusion
I know in this solitude, I will not
Break my Heart again
