Listening to every heart

0 posted 2006-03-28 06:56 AM

I Write

you breathe
another sings
one just
whispers

you walk
one talks
another goes
a straight line

we are one

you climb
I rhyme
one by one
nothing goes
undone

hello
goodbye
here we are
by, and bye

I gave
you give
we live
you lie
I strive
one dies
we live

give it back
give it on
live as one
to live, undone

be one

now comes
sweet the trust
take, if you must
I will
just give
so I
may rightly live

now is the
time
to see the
rhyme
in what

I write

for

I am right
in what
I say

in the
I love you
this very day

in the
take
of you loving me
which I give back,
you see….

for I will
only give
in what I write
for it
is how I live….

and someday
someday
I will write
like
Rod
or Simon
perhaps, Gibran…

whatever,
I shall go on….

I, Write

This Place of Night
29 March 2006

I would have written
not sure in ways to say
Seeking a universe of tomorrow
this place made new in heart

As if it was all a single tone
my words - not your own to enter
A wager - a booking
manufactured to praise

Yesterdays news - my beginning
time given over to sleep
Here over a context borne
of a new day hours of time counted

Midnight plus a small few
twelve minutes mid-week
What did it meant to write
maybe not to know - good night

a poet who cares

You write,
I listen
the sun shines
and it glistens
on all of those
who read the words
of life, and death
and stories heard
through your pen
with mighty speak
I came to find,
I came to seek
and I found the beauteous treasure
to make me smile,
and give me pleasure...

thanks for jogging my brain into
motion mommak....

seek the flame within yourself
and let your soul be cleansed by
the fire of love.  Axel Ekenstierna

We do...all those things that we share in common but express in such different ways. Every poet who reads this today, would have written it differently...and each would have written it the same.

Yes you do Sunshine, and with such beauty that sometimes I feel as though you've given me a little kiss on the cheek and at other times a little kick in the seat of the pants. Enjoyed very much! :-)

Oooh, please don't write like any one else , no matter who!  Just keep writing like our Sunshine 'cos we'd miss you if you didn't.

I love the Sunshine pathway of this refreshing poem.  Thank you for the pleasure you give us.

Yes, you do write.  For Descartes, it was "cogito, ergo sum", but for you it is "scribo, ergo sum."  Never stop, Sunshine, you'd have too many folks with withdrawal symtoms.  Ken

I dreamed last night that I was writing a poem...a rhymed poem, but with this difference: each rhyme came at the head of the line, with sometimes an echo in the middle, but none at the ends of lines. In the dream there seemed to be great symbolism for me in that, but for the life of me I can't say what it was....and I would gladly transfer my bank account to any person who could cause me to remember the poem now.
