Have you ever been so depressed
you don't even want to move,
you don't want to get out of bed,
what's it going to prove?

You drive along and pull over,
get out and just stand there,
then it starts to rain on you
but really, you don't care?

You are always on the edge of crying,
the cards are all played out,
you wonder every day
what is life about?

When you've pushed and pulled and fought
for years where nothing's wrought,
everything has been for naught,
in this trap, you are caught?

You see that you've run out of tears
so you scream...
but no one hears.

~

You have just described the most crushing weight anyone can carry around with them...to feel joyless and empty is a breathing death.  The trap is a steel web of thought.  And it's awful to think in a vacuum.

The key to spring it is that we can choose our thoughts and whether or not we wish to keep them.  They have amazing power to affect our experience.

This is a good place to be heard.
Love and light and hugs to you!

Yes, but not as you are feeling it. I seem to have a recoil spring that helps me pop back up. I wish I could send one to you.  You Are Loved. Pass it on. marty

Yes.....I have, and in a place where it almost never rains. But it doesn't need to rain, to be raining.

Yes, I've been there too Dixie.  Perhaps we have to visit those clearing fields - some just have more weeds than others - but I wonder what really happens once we've put away the things that hurt the soul.  Do they fester and grow somewhere unknown or simply close over the holes?

Dixie,I read this to Jackie and told her you were "writing her". She said, "yes, she writes like I do."   I wish she would write here too. I am not asking her, but maybe one day she will. LOL Martyjo

Hi Dixie...

"You see that you've run out of tears
so you scream...
but no one hears."

Does the human voice, crying out, in the wilderness of life, make noise if no one is near...like the tree that falls?

Of course it does, and way out here in cyberspace, someone is always listening.

Good to see you agin....

Dixie...Many times dear friend but most of my screams are silent on the outside.
You got to quit writing my heart it hurts too much. Only joking, keep writing just like this...Paul

You see this type of poetry comes from the depths, you couldnt teach this to anybody, the truth is laid bare in black and white. No compromise, you either like or you dont, and i will bet it does not realy concern you either way Dixie? But it doesnt stop it from being excellant none the less..thank you..
