We looked inside my drawers
And found nothing but dust bunnies
No leftover lifesavers, no comb
No pictures of naked monkeys

I thought I saw a pin
Tucked into the corner in the back
But it was just a trick of light
Nothing more than a tack

Such sadness here on leaving
To move on in life’s career
Will memories survive
As I retreat from here?

Excitement at the new
A challenge I portend
One job is beginning
Another is at an end.

I hope the "new" is interesting and fulfilling.  What you write leaves me feeling enigmatic and wondering what you are thinking.     I do wish you the best!

As one drawer closes another one opens, that’s a little different to what normally happens to me – generally one drawer closing is shortly followed by another slamming shut on my fingers.

I hope you have better luck and thanks for chance to read, I really enjoyed it.

Oh, my... I think I'd rather burn my desk than try to clean it out. LOL... But then... it's the dumping ground for all my boss's junk as well as mine... I rarely dig for fear of mouse traps. *G*

I enjoyed this, PDV... congratulations on the promotion! *S*

Pictures of naked monkeys? Is that something that is common to have in your drawer? Better get me some of those In fact I would like to have wallpaper with naked monkeys Much enjoyed the read, particularly the beginning.
