Flames Of Love

The fire still burns
deep within my heart
Not knowing dear why
we drifted apart

I’ve come to accept
the fact you’re not here
Teardrops fill my eyes
my future not clear

Old memories shared
fading from my mind
Photographs of you
i’m searching to find

The fire still burns
while memories fade
Today I’ll accept
the choices you’ve made

If I travel west
ahead of time stay
Then today will be
just another day

The fire still burns

When two people have deeply loved each other, I do believe that a spark of that love will always remain in their heart ~ even if they do happen to grow apart.
