Beneath the waves of desire
stands the will of a demon’s dreams
disguised and perceived as rhythmic release
of a woman’s intrinsic feel.

So tosses the sea in this artful ordeal
that takes to the peak the fullness of needs
then crashes them down into emptiness
as a means of entrenching reality.

And this is exhausting, you know,
for the sea and the maybe you/me
played out/reeled in like a fisherman’s line
from the hands of demonic dreams.

Whether demon or king or angel within
this mysterious brand of soul energy
no conformist to stick to the rules
of humankind’s imaginative needs.

Rounded and grounded, oh, mighty sea/me,
yet still in the darkness of silent repose
the dream makers and breakers give voice
to the soul’s individual prose …
and I know all the words by heart
for I am that demon in part!

Helen

Someone once told me once of our worst enemy can be our own "passion."  You hit the nail on the head here, Helen...I do think passion has its place but it has to answer to the angel in us.   .....jo

Thanks, Alli - glad you enjoyed.

Jo - you're so right!  Life is perhaps just a balancing trick and then along comes passion and ... everything goes up in smoke!
