Erosion

Its rate of speed that strikes your eye
Depends upon your mental vie
Some see it fast some see it slow
But it is there where ere you go

It is the changing of the guard
The altering of the façade
The multi and the maxi play
The waning and waxing each day

It is the mortar and the power
It is the slaughter and the flower
It is the bass beat of a song
And the place that you belong

Within the fertile of the grime
We build the castles of our time
Each unbounded with a scheme
Each unfounded with a dream

And each erodes within the bend
To link the link from end to end

Oh, I do understand the erosion of which you speak! That is why my castle in the sky has a deep moat and tall, thick walls around it!
Castle 3 Queen

If yours begin to sink due to eroding sands, you will always have a place to stay in my castle! ~ and of course, Isabel is most welcome as well! However, she would have to be reminded that I am the queen of this castle! Flirty

Loves 'n hugs,

Ah   I enjoyed this very much.  Wonderfully worded.  As always.  It reminded me of Algernon Charles Swinburne's "Hertha"

"I the mark that is missed
   And the arrows that miss,
I the mouth that is kissed
And the breath in the kiss,
The search, and the sought, and the seeker,
the soul and the body that is."

"I the grain and the furrow,
   The plough-cloven clod
And the ploughshare drawn thorough
   The germ and the sod,
The deed and the doer, the seed and the
sower, the dust which is God."

Delightful as always !    ::bows::

Such are the ways of life.....and life.     Enjoyed this, Sy.   ...jo

For some reason, I got a picture of Athens ruins in my mind, perhaps because the mystic gods wave such fickle powers and human emotions-- the way all great civilizations seem to go.  As always, beautifully penned and thought provoking.
