I Bow to this Stone

Let me observe ...
this pebble, this rock, this stone,
this concentrated bit of magma.
So many elements bound into one,
more than we can ever imagine.
Such ... "An amazing piece of rock"!

Strong and solid
Resistant, resilient
Impenetrable, impervious
Always changing, yet unchanging
From liquid to solid and then back again
This rock is recyclable and reusable too!

In constant adaptation, (Intelligent)? Mineral
mutates to rock, into a myriad of changing forms
A substance of natural design, shaping and reshaping itself,
tumbling through the rivers of time, blown afar, in tiny bits, scattered.
Some call this Science, some God. I'd rather sit here, meditate and be a rock.
Now, I see differently ... see clearer; see farther ... and I bow to this stone!

And I bow to your wisdom that realises that the stone is worth bowing to!   Wonderful first post- well written and I enjoyed the shape of your poem too. Nicely done and welcome to PiP!

Ah !    (((tera)))    Welcome to PiP    I'm so glad you came.   I love this sis !   I'm reminded of the saying....  The best form of worship...is to worship God in every form.   Thank you for sharing this.

I'm into rocks! ~ All kinds of rocks! Crystals, minerals, river stones... I even go mining for them! I can feel the energy of God's 'tera' firma in them! ~ as I do in your words! Marvellous write!
