It’s the little Things

It’s the little things that make the notes
That warms my heart and burns my throat
It’s the little things that make the song
That makes me feel that I belong

The trill the tweak that makes me weak
The smallest echo of what I seek
A whisper in the wind that’s there
The faintest movement that you care

My mind is full of small reply
Of little things of small imply
Of gestures only I can see
As subtle as the taste of tea

It touches me a spirits light
Graceful as a bird in flight
Naivety that shows its view
As gentle as the mornings dew

It is the nectar I detect
It is the nectar I collect

Sy, Tori (my oldest granddaughter had a sleepover last night as she has an outing for school today,) and she and I read this together, and she says to tell you that it should be in a book for kids to read with some pictures, as it is sure "radical!"

Know what?  I agree with her, those first two stanzas especially are not only heart-warming, but a different version of the "Golden Rule."  I, or rather we, just loved it!

The sweet things in life, the nectar.... not always obvious to others, but when one is looking through their heart, little things and small replies become very vivid, no?  Now I hear your heart talkingl too!     Wonderful!  LOL

Enjoyed this Sy, 'tis indeed the little things that count.

It seems the little things bring us both the greatest joy... and the greatest pain when they're gone. *S*

This is excellent, dear friend... I greatly enjoyed! *S*
