Hello books scattered across the floor,
woodbine thralls aplenty
That’s the way of life and words,
and polished thoughts
in my world of worlds away, here to stay
when I pet the pages

In a rush a thrush will linger
for anything pretty from the soul
Each note a rigamarole to those that haven’t a clue
what to do
with the lyrics

There’s a diary
with it all
written down, somewhere,
and I care to open it,
every once in a while,
just to see where the hell I’ve been

Been fine,
been mighty lively,
been some kinda wild at times

but it’s the quiet
white space
that says the most

No one knows
the ghosts
behind the ellipses,
or how eclectic I am
with a dash—

of demon

I guess it comes from all those sermons
where the book was thrown at me,
when the pages used to make me shiver

Books are very powerful things

especially those
that are unwritten

Just beautiful ... only
... somehow ...
I see you caressing the pages rather than petting them

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

What a yummy treat! A long overdue Regina write!
This is an awkward day for me, with my 18 year old leaving home, off to continue living her ultimate equestrian dream...taking care of a herd of Lipizzaners, and photographing them.
I might cry a while, but reading here at Pips is great therapy!

Can it possibly be? OMG How delighted I am to read you again and to know you are hell and wealthy. I mean well and healthy. Have missed you so.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Regina, I very much enjoyed this my friend, I hope you keep writing, you have been missed; pages are missing; too many white without your touch to fill them with words and yourself. Hope you are well my friend.

Sincerely
Rick
