Sands of Time

22 March 2006

A figure of speech
time standing still
Beauty as in measure
a woman of fascination to height

As if the hourglass was sand on a shore
those waves brushing in passion to seek
Not to be over come - yet in sensation meek

Fortunate toward a birth unaltered
while mankind in reason did change
But what was purity - a virgin soul
never in contour upon a path to arrange

The contest of acceptance
given in a status nature made
Through eyes of those beheld
over looks destined to in time fade

“Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image,
the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,”
Deuteronomy 4: 16 KJV
