Circling above my words
acquire layer after layer;
their heaviness hangs heavy.
So long has it been
I have not been gifted
that I wait with apprehension
for them to come down.

Not usually one
to be short of patience
the waiting is not something to mind
but at times I do wonder is it me
or You that is waiting?

Am I awry; have I reversed my steps
and You are waiting
for me
to turn around?

My heart is tuned to Yours
every minute of every day
but this lack of words
has turned my prayers to
less than whispers.

Words are not the lot of Love for
I would rather feel You
quietly wrapping around
than to put my fingers on the printing.

But is it reciprocal? Can You feel me
waiting; can you feel my spirit
wordlessly wing my love
to You?

Lord if I am backwards
please turn me
and if I am not, then please know that
with or without words
I love You.

G'day luminosity.  I am often reminded by my dear wife that I need to tell her how much I love her as she cannot read my mind and she loves to hear the words.

I'm glad though our Creator can read our inner most thoughts, though I guess he likes us to whisper aloud at times as well.

Enjoyed your reflections.

Luminosity - this is some good writing, and I know what you mean.  I especially liked:
"Words are not the lot of Love for
I would rather feel You
quietly wrapping around
than to put my fingers on the printing."

but this lack of words

I'd recognize that writing anywhere -- even if I didn't know...
