A Poem for Mother

                  Words are merely symbols...
                  little comfort can they bring,
                    when the heart is breaking
                and the soul is filled with pain.

                Though it's hard to find one happy                              thought
                       on a day that's sad,
                  we know his will is always done
                       and it is never bad.

                The breeze so gently sways a rose...
                     the eye admires this so,
                  yet underneath, in thorny bed,
                  the wind there too does blow.

                    A sunrise is so wonderful...
                   our souls uplift in praise
                  but we would never witness one
                    if night-time stayed away.

               So may this hill that you must climb
                place you nearer heaven's throne.
               And may each tear that you must cry
                   hold peace, soon to be born.

Excellent poem Bubbles. It's hard to write of mothers without being trite but you've done it.
