I never meant... n e v e r meant to be the bad seed... sc att er ing weeds through your garden in sow... so... douse me with your poison drink plant me here... roots... rotted in thyme... time to go... time to die... grieve... rivers recede... re- seed... perhaps in time... a single blossom... fragrant... r o o t e d safe... secure... as the thorn keeps watch... _______________________ "When the power of love overcomes the love |

Because of your location, and the theme of your poem, I am wonderfully reminded of Dee, and how she enjoyed her garden and all, every year, every spring, she would call and complain of the work, and yet every fall and every winter, the catalogs filled her home, of some hope for the next season. She also knew that in order to see the beauty, she'd have to ignore the thorns, and accepted them, as she did so many things, as a fact of life. Excellent presentation, Vicky. Thank you for bringing my sister back to me, if for only a moment. |
