If I could
I would enfold you,
I would hold you
down and open,
stretched wide
beyond the edge of madness
released by your own helplessness,
so I could fill you
with words overflowing
set free to swim inside you,
to dance and swirl and search for life,
some perhaps to become living thoughts,
ideas that grow,
far beyond what we each know
and nurtured by your energy
in time and in your own way
to be birthed into the light of day
as children of the Infinite
and Universal soul.

Wow... just... wow. This took my breath away icebox. One for my library, indeed.

The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears.

How beautiful this would be.

icebox - I like what this makes me see and feel but, as always, love - universal love - is the energy that allows the planting and germination of thoughts that give rise to a birth or indeed to a death of ideas. But, wow, it has put its ideas into one so very able to express them.  A captivating write!

Excellent words and images. I hope to do that through my poetry as well! Thank you!

I really had mixed feeling reading this.  To communicate in a way that feeds the spirit, my own included, is something I have longed for.  But the idea of pushing beyond the edge of madness is a bit scary.  At some point, one has to confront the fear.  Perhaps, its the only way to become a child of the light.

Very evocative words, and much to think about.
