Love is not counted
In years, but measured
By the moments that glance
Against a man's soul;
Making it quiver and quicken,
Like a butterfly's new wings
In the early summer sun.
The touch of your fingertips
Would carry me a season;
The lightest brush of your lips
Would be reason enough
To lay aside my fears,
And sell my life, to be with you,
For the briefest breath of time.

Talk about a beautiful love write! Sheesh, the lucky lady!
And thank you so much, for visiting my poetry today, and commenting.

A heart that quickens and quivers like a butterfly's wings in the sun....ah!  stunning imagery.  The entire write seems to have been wings bursting from a chrysalis!  Romantic and lovely, and I'm ...oh, just sighing...

Oh, guys, if only she'd felt the same. Yeah, her again. Still, if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be here, and I have to say it's nice being here with you all. I'm going to take some time later in the week to get to know you better. And thanks. Every kind word is another stitch in the torn seam.

Cinnabar, this is probably a silly question, but presumably you have had the good sense to show her your poetry, especially your poetry to her?  If she doesn't respond to you then, then she is a stone statue because it is inconceivable that ANYONE doesn't respond to your poetry, ESPECIALLY somebody about whom you feel the way you describe in your poems.  If you haven't shown her your poetry, then my advice is DO SO!  Smiles, I'm not shouting, just making sure you heard me!
