If it's one for The Lady and maybe two on the road? Then my wheels must headed along 101 to the Channel Islands, to seek another sunset of gold before this heart turns stone cold and is no longer able to recall a fall upon the beaches one year when the sky was clear and the moon was golden yellow (was that a line from an old song?) and I was partaking of a gourmet sunset abrillenos, and some wine or beer, I cannot recall but all in all, it was a glorious moment in time and yes, I remember how to cook those pounded abalone steaks, wrapped in anaheim chilis topped with melt-in-your-mouth cheese and candlelight no, make that moonlight but I was alone, missing you at sunset, for you had already flown away |
