On Finding Self Forgiveness

Erasure strokes can not amend
These blacks and blues that I have penned.
And though with time, the color fades.
My scars remain in greyer shades.

With fist in clench, I strike my pose
To scribble and scratch a new compose.
And  though I search the inner sage,
Still nonsense finds its way to page.

Possibilities lie in bed-
Awake, but dreaming in my head.
Through guilty view of void and null,
I find no peace, no lovely lull.

But on a breeze of morning’s name,
I did release my point of blame.
Then pardon breathed its cleansing sighs
To clear my mind, and thus my eyes.

But on a breeze of morning’s name,
Her trigger released its point of blame.
Then pardon breathed its cleansing sighs
To clear my mind, and thus my eyes.

you've waken up and ride the breezes of a new day...

I normally look at rhyming poetry and decide that I am not interested... then someone comes along and shows me what an idiot I am being... Great job.

Patricia, I certainly have been missing both your poetry and your warm presence here at pip.

This was a gem. Self-forgiveness is a gift of love that only we can give to ourself. Be happy! You deserve it!
