You may watch the darkness flee
at the break of day;
yet, dawn is not a witness here,
till doubt has passed away.

You may walk cross forest floor
and hear the wind at play;
yet, peace is not a witness here,
till doubt has passed away.

You may hold her tenderly
And lavish her with praise;
Yet, love is not a witness here,
till doubt has passed away

You may call on heaven's throne
And mean the words you pray;
yet, God is not a witness here,
till doubt has passed away.

As one who struggles with many doubts, I have to love this piece. I'm glad you came here to post with work like this!

"God is not a witness here,

Absolutely right, bubblesleave!  Wonderful poem - wish I could get here more often to read all and everything.
