You have woven a web, so tangled
filled with deception and lies
unsympathetic are these ears
as they ignore the tears
that flows falsely from your eyes.

Did it come as no surprise
that you'd be caught in this game,
and did it not occur to you
that you wouldn't be thought of the same

as you were, just yesterday;
before it was realized
that the web you spun was fraying
and that you might end up being despised?

Silken threads have slowly unraveled
with the passing of each night
because my Dear, you never expected
that your untruths would come to light.

There is no turning back,
nor is there a way to make this disappear
you've been caught in your own web....

So? How's it feel my dear,
to know that time has burst your bubble
and unwoven your web, so troubled....

In a triangle of deceit
dishonesty,    truth will always defeat

this game...

obsolete.

When I get where I'm going
I will love and have no fear
When I get where I'm going
don't cry for me down here...(B. Paisley)

It's amazing how they never believe that they will be found out, but they always are, sooner or later - and the later, the worse it is for them.  I am sure it was a cathartic experience to write this.

Keep smiling and winning!

This is a tremendous write, Donna.  You are so right, too -- the truth always comes out eventually.   ....jo

Dear Donna, you express yourself so well.
Loving is so vulnerable and such a powerful emotion,
but hardening my heart is not an option. I just throw a fit and get over it.
Some might say, the door swings both ways, but it's how you walk through it,
hopefully with your head held up high.

Hugs, honey~
