Hi all, first post. This poem's called cycle, about how my on-again off-again relationship parallels day and night, life and death, all of nature's cycles.

As the day smiled upon the earth
and cradled life in a motherly bosom
swirling sunlight cascaded through the trees
bursting forth like wild, curling, twisted fire
freedom abundant like a gushing geyser crackled in each champagne beam
pelting shattered shards of coruscant brilliance
windchimes whispered their symphony to any whom might listen
gentle beauty sprung forth in each note of ethereal eloquence
and soft like a lover's cheek the day descended
the chimes lulled themselves benumbed, muted lightly
the lavender sky closed its eyes and fell into midnight
and the night courted the electric stars
which ruptured the raven heavens with punctured pin pricks
jagged light pierced from above, a billion alabaster daggers
as I looked out on the ocean's incadescence
atop a gypsy rock's gnarled winding moss
a cyclone wind ripped through me like a glacier
and I heard a woman's footstep delicate
and I heard her haunting prophet voice
and the sun erupted over the catholic horizon

Your first post has a room for a view

all I can say is,

thank you.

What a gorgeous entrance to these blue pages! Thank you so much for reading my post 'tempest tossed' and for pointing me towards your first post. Yes, I sense a parallel feeling in this to where my mind was when I wrote the tempest.

Your poetry quite beautiful, and your imagery is outstanding. Welcome to Passions! I look forward to more from your pen, Luke.
