The Hard Part Is Letting Go

The tears taste the same
No matter who cries
Feeling utter despair
When hearing goodbyes

As emotions start flowing
Wanting love to last
Attempting to hold on
While clinging to the past

Memories begin to gather
We again reminisce
Shedding more tears
In realising what we miss

Expressing the heartache
Emotional tears flow
Fond memories linger
The hard part is letting go
