Michelle

18 March 2000

Michelle is her name
given by birth claim
Sure she does exist
written in songs that twist

Young, old and a mother
wife, sister with a brother
This woman of vision
caught up in lifes collision

Angel of the soul
filling her feminine role
with qualities of purpose
bound to surface

She therefore is a symbol
of the ideal rule
Her home may not be here
but she is everywhere

“FOR the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the
very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which
they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto
perfect. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again
made of sins every year. Wherefore when he cometh into the
world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a
body hast thou prepared me: By the which will we are sanctified
through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”
Hebrews 10: 1, 3, 5, 10 KJV

Some are delivered to us,
just as this is special,
so is she.

"Her home may not be here
but she is everywhere"

My daughter's name!  She died after 8 years, yet those words above are how she remains.  Although I know you didn't write this for her, thank you anyway!

Yes Martie, when I saw the title, I thought this must have been written for you...and in a way it was, because there are so many Michelles....now another we will know of.

This poem's beautiful, and beautifully conceived...and it wrings the heart.

after Sunshine made her note to this poem post, I was left to try and remember why I choose to post this poem in the thread here.

Now I do remember, my reason I went and found my works in the name of Michelle. Which in this case was composed one day, in a general outlook, because there were so many Michelle's out there. If not in being actors on TV shows, or other reasons, the name was ringing in my mind, that set off what became my poem.

I posted this poem here on this site however, in honour of one particular Michelle. Since I went to your web site Martie, and saw what I saw.

I am into web creation myself, the site listed on my profile , is an extention of my mind, and was created without using software and developed by myself. Nevertheless I never knew how to make a web page until May 2004, and back then I had seen and only visited a handful of web sites.

When thanks to Sunshine, this poem did not get lost on page two and an abyss without getting a comment. As some of my posts have. All the reason I remain hesitant to the value and purpose of the poetry I post here on PiP

Now I have been known to make web pages for fun

I think we have all experienced that poem we have posted getting no replies...it is indeed hard and it makes you wonder why.  I'm glad this was here so that I could see it and then find that it was indeed for my Michelle.  Thank you for that!
