An UnNurtured Love

I suppose that I could of
loved her a little more
if she hadn't walked
out the door.
But that was a
case unto itself.
At first there was a place
where love could begin.
Later it became a place
where failed love
would come to an end.
They say that rejected love
slowly wilts away,
an unnurtured love
with no heart that cares,
with no hope for
a place to stay.
