Whack the Whine!

Are you a grunter or a groaner
Emitting heavy sighs, a moaner?
As you go about your day
Do you gripe all along the way?

Have you noticed how folks scatter
As you approach with gloomy chatter?
Did you think they just got busy
As they scamper from your tizzy?

Perhaps your knight wears rusted armor
Have you noticed you’re no charmer?
Perhaps your paycheck’s somewhat lacking
Has it occurred you may be slacking?

And as long as you’re confessing
Do you ever count your blessings?
Or would such tallies interfere
With the complaints you hold so dear?

You have a home, your job, good health,
Someone to care – why, you have wealth!
To live is to encounter strife
From where I stand – you’ve a great life!!

(to me... from me... a reminder *G*)

Shouldn't we all, shouldn't we all.... takin' 'em to heart, dear lady! Goodness knows you've had need of 'em lately, but everybody needs a dose of this medicine, and when you write the RX, it goes down easy.

You, a whiner, Suthern?  You certainly hide it very well - which negates your being a whiner!  So whê!  Got you on that one!  Enjoyed your poem, though, Suthern.  Thanks, I needed it for me.

Owl: I wrote this poem a couple of months ago when ALL my pen wanted to ponder was sorrow... It's always been fond of darker tones... but at a time when it was taking everything I had to stay upright after multiple losses, I wasn't exactly appreciative of its need to wallow. *G*

Not only was writing this reprimand easier than the contortions of trying to kick my own rear... it also gave my pen an acceptable occupation that kept it from being tossed in the nearest garbage can. LOL

Thank you so much for liking!! *S*

Beloved one, I agree with Margie girl YOU ROCK. Why oh why isn't this pinned to everyone's noticeboard? For it should be, and I count YOU as one of my blessings, for you are a blessing in my life and I thank you for the delight of having your soul brushing against mine whenever I need a lift.
Love you always
Like you forever

Yeppers!  You did 'goooood', suthern! Well done!  I've had these very same thoughts about myself at times, and have had to kick myself for putting others (and myself) through it!  THIS IS A KEEPER!  (How many of yours do I have now?)  Smiling at you!  I read your other recently posted poem, too and absolutely loved it!

yes.....I do believe I was drawn today for a reason...

oh? and...I am definately keeping this one, might even have to share it with a few others who could use this lesson if ya dont mind?  Hugs gal, thanks for this.

Beloved one I'm hoisting this back to the top there are some who need the reminder often. Besides it hasn't got the trillion replies yet that it should have.

Love you always

Had to bring this back again!  The honest truth and THANK YOU!  I have thought similar thoughts but never had the gumpsion to tell it like it is!  I believe I held the card on whining at one time during history, but I finally got tired of all the babying.  I do understand it!  LOVE THIS and will keep it with the treasury.
