Have you ever asked how soldiers fall
when war’s no longer calling,
with bodies broken down in age;
have you ever asked how soldiers fall?

The dead keep secrets safe from rage
when the only choice is falling;
have you ever asked how soldiers fall
when war’s no longer calling?

oh my, this is awesome... wonderfully done. I like that it makes your point with so few words, yet it does so in such a powerful way. I do like your style. A thought-provoking read.

Ice, yes I have seen and I have lived with such. A quiet man with  bottled up feelings, so much so that I wonder if he ever even tried to come to grips with it all. He did a marvelous job of cover-up though and was a man worth having and holding. We married young, grew up together and shared a great life despite it all.  Thank you for this.    respectfully,   martyjo.
