The first time I saw you I knew right then and there That I was in love with a stranger But it was my secret to bear I wish I could say it’s just a crush Based on your looks, your walk or your hair But alas, you fill my every being I thought it was about time to share You are beautiful beyond description At least you are to me And though I still don’t know you well I feel the same, strange as it may be I’d like to get to know you better But I wouldn’t know what to say I get so nervous around you It takes all my strength just to pray I look for ways to be near where you are I learn about the things you adore I can’t stand any girl that seems to like you Cause I believe you like them more Tell me to get over it Tell me to move on Or tell me to wait with you By telling me to hang on Please don’t leave me in Limbo For I can barely breathe Help me hang on or help me let go But help me, please 2005 Lyn Eagleton |
