We are good Christian soldiers and servants of God ! You, are savage and lead heathen lives. Rejoice ! We shall save you ! Look, we bear gifts; to tempt your children and wives ! Search through the trinkets...you may have your pick. We'll teach you about our dead god on a stick. When you have repented and you're down on your knees... We will steal all your land and give you disease. If by some miracle...you should start to think... We will concoct great fables and offer strong drink. When your customs have all undergone transformation... And your religion has been through total reformation... You will find yourselves happy, upon the Reservation ; and feel proud, knowing that you helped build this great nation ! When your kind have all but faded away... Although it may seem a terrible price... You'll be content when you return to the clay... Knowing you died, in the name of Christ. You see, your kind and our kind, just can't get along. We do not judge you ! You just do not belong. But, if you would change and follow the norm... At times, you'll be paid...if your ways you'll perform. Stories about your customs and dance, Will be written in novels of Western Romance. Instead of white women choosing death, rather than be ravaged... They will fantasize of being taken by a sinewy savage. Long forgotten will be the animal grease in your hair. And the brain-tanned hides you now choose to wear. Instead of fearing to be down wind of your kind... White women will swoon and say, "I wish he were mine !" It would be such a shame if you all had to die ! You could make history, if we create lots of lies. Although you're detested today, in your prime... You'll be called "Splendid" and "Noble" in a much later time. For, although today, You are just a red nigger... We foresee a time, when you'll be much bigger ! Stories and fables...Tall tales and lies... Will make you much grander in the sight of white eyes ! The whites that accept you as you are, are few. And one day we'll finally crowd them out too. Although it may seem a terrible price... Rejoice ! It was done in the name of Christ ! |

Did you see the series on TNT awhile bac -- forgotten the name now....maybe it was "Into the West".....but oh, this is a good synopsis! Many good points made here including the point that "holier than thou" Christians are not really practicing Christianity! |
