.

I store my feelings
in the freezer
carefully wrapped and labeled..
but ice-hard bundles tumble out when least expected
crashing down..
crushed ice makes pools.
I slip and fall
It hurts to thaw.

Tinker frozen or thawed feelings can hurt.  And this poem captures both the physical and emotional pain. A thought-provoking write indeed.

believe in what your heart feels...

This is fantastic, Nancy! I mean the write, not the hurt feelings.

One half of me wants to ask...

what happened now?

The THINKING half of me...

says...

Yes, i know.

But that's what you do...always leave me, thinking.

I love the honest, confessional style of this from you.

It's my personal opinion of course, but I enjoy poetry most when it reads like a whisper in my hear.

I felt you succeeded with this one.

"It hurts to thaw"

Oh, yes, it does indeed, Nancy, but we always have to be in a bad place before a good place - don't ask my why though. Good write!

Nancy that was beautiful.  It hurts to feel.
I loved that poem because we have to be strong and sometimes we get weary and let go.
thank you for writing such a splendid poem.

That's too cute. Especially the part about things falling out when least expected.

Oh if only emotions could be put back as conveniently as green beans.

Excellent work.

(big angel hugs) Oh Nancy, being a Scorpio especially and known for having such depth and holding secrets firmly, I can understand this poem ever so much, and believe when we do confront our deepest needs and such, we can't just rush them, we have to let them thaw naturally, for in doing otherwise it would feel unnatural! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is a most poignant, powerful verse, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Nancy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
