where gulls glide

     across wind-blown water

           rippling like dragon scale

sunlight sword silver

     forged evening

                  deep

         a gray squirrel scouts solitude
          on boulder barricaded shoreline

  enguard,

       momentarily motionless

                       sea and sky

                              gather melancholy

channel distant clang

              of buoy bell

        dark hollows

               languish in lavender

                                  shadow

                   ...as do I

I really love your work Karen. The title is a poem by itself.

you had me at hello, and took me on such a tranquil journey...I could feel the warmth of subservent nature...kindly melting away any hint of saddness...no thoughts of the world, just glidding somewhere by the sea...

Marvelous write

And we, with you.  Your poetry heals the spirit and bathes it in a glow of peace.

oh, my!  I think I forgot I had posted this.   For I've failed to get to back to any of you.  Thank you for sharing your time with me and my poem!  I do so appreciate the feedback and comments.

I really must have been lost in lavender when I posted this!  LOL

Exquisitely peaceful Klassy! I can still hear that bouy bell clanging across the windblown waters of my mind! :-)
