Empty Vase

every day sits
an empty vase
water clean
sparkles in place
just the ghost of
a rose bud there
promised from
your garden share
maybe,
I misunderstood
the words of could,
should and would
you once described
it to me well
its tender petals
I could smell
they lie dormant
dried in a box
shut in the dark
behind locks
I still fill the water
just in case
and every day sits
an empty vase

just some words cut out
from the diary of my heart

Poignant!  You certainly should have flowers.

If I could I would fill your vase. But I'm afraid the meanung would be different.

ms slick
a vase in the morning sun
with hope looking through
as warm fingers reaching

is more lovely than even
the flowers it might hold

you are such a vase ms

I smile at this, as I thought, it's as though a flower were wishing for for flowers...

A tip from the witch--empty the vase.

Something empty is more likely to be filled.

I miss you honey.

Drop me a line when you have the time and let me know how you are?

So beautiful !   For a brief moment I felt the longing; the sadness.  Then...I was reminded how an empty vase has far more potential than one that is full.  ::smiles:: Wonderful write !

I like serenity's response... but mine would be... Fill the vase and bring beauty into your life... you deserve more than waiting, more than emptiness. (Mind you... I preach better than I practice *G*)

Beautiful write!!

I agree with Suthern.... fill it yourself. Life is not for waiting. The flowers will come when you are not looking for them.

Beautiful writing...you knew I'd say that, though. =)
