Between the Lines

Shaped by the Heart

It's laying there in the wake,
not heart shaped but shaped by the heart,
words unsolicited, a week old
waiting to be felt, the need
of the senses to be touched
to complete...

It's in the darkness
when the night whispers,
when being unnoticed
suffocates
the spark of promise,
where life is divided
and thoughts are ready
to self-destruct
and silence sorrows the mind.

It's the years of unknowing...
reality laying in cellophaned pages
shelved for none to see
those between the lines
waiting for the hands of time to reach out
to mind the absent
to pillow the tears of a "monotonous life"
and measure the words, not in segments,
but in their entirety.

It's there in the mirror's reflection,
standing behind you,
waiting for a hand to interlace
to bring forward, to stand beside in support,
releasing the boundaries to shape tomorrow
and weave those dreams into real.

M

"Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less."

Maureen,
"and weave those dreams into real."
I know how you feel. Beautiful work

M.  you walk a familiar path...whether alone
or in the company of others...and that mirror
sometimes haunts us as we look and see ourselves as we are...as well as as we can
be.

a Poem is not fully completed
....waiting...and waiting...
until the hands of the eyes reach out and grasp between the lines..

Is the message that I received from this poem... Hope I am correct...
Wonderful work...I thoroughly enjoyed
reading it...

TD, thank you

Lee, special meaning for sure...for Valentine's Day  after...

Nancy, thank you for the  nice comment ...I had left  a very nice response to all but then  had too many images and it wouldn't take it nor save it on my back button...sighing...
So I am a bit generic now in my responses to you all.

Sy, thank you, I believe you do know how I feel...

Barry, all too familiar that view in the mirror.

Air Goddess, not completed until it is received, you are correct.

Skyfire, it's really not so bad to be made to think in the morning..I do  my best writing then, thanks
hugs

M
