Between the Lines

I wish to write a love poem
if I could only remember how.
I searched and searched in the past of time
to find a meaningful now....

To Journal that One Moment

Never had cause to write before,
not in my head nor in a journal...
not really, until you.

Oh, I may have had many false starts
in my recent past, but the flowing comes
when I think of you, your glances,
half smiles, lips that touch feelings,
overwhelming.

Words, flowing into poetry, daily
(many unseen) hundreds a month,
thousands by now, rhyming, free formed
ramblings of my life.

A book of sonnets, I am perusing,
Of Love and Friendship.
I am impassioned by their titles,
each having for me,
a phrase or two of intent.

The "Now!" of it on page 3, merging my thoughts
"You around me for once, you beneath me, above me--
Me--sure that despite of time future,  time past
-- This tick of our life-time's one moment, you love me!"

I write for me, and for my moments of you,
in this Dream Journal of pages, shaded in blue.

And on a leather bookmark, moon shaped embossed,
words to save, my time capsule waiting
for that one moment when...

Once in a Blue Moon, a small part
of my within, rests assured, that
No one can lay a hand on my dreams.

I wish to write a love poem
if I could only remember how
So I searched and searched in the past of time
to find a meaningful now....

Your poems on love are always a pleasure to read. They are guileless, real, and honest.

They are also fascinating, multi-layered explorations of your heart that you openly share with your readers.

MzWynter~

There is such beauty in this ... quiet lacy thoughts that lay in the heart of the reader~

'I write for me, and for my moments of you'

Beautiful, Maureen.  It is heart-warming to see you so happy after your years of sadness.

Oh, and by the way, you DO remember how to write a love poem.  You have just done so.

vandana thank you

Owl, I am basically a happy person even if my poems don't always seem like it. Sometimes they are just inner thoughts of old...or about missing something from my past.

Thank you
M
