(Where There Is/Is There Love)

entangled in uncertainties
wishing for the daze of innocence
conflict pushing the unfinished words
touching the heart of me

comparison, a phantom of
my opera
where nothing means what it should
and everything
belongs to someone else

how can I not doubt
this path laid out before me

stopped by the need for nurturing
and the green eyes that invade my blue
always there to blend the hazel
into my days of gray

I take shelter within my own skin
good enough for me
even if not for you...

M

cold wet morn.

My spirit will rise
above the sea~
There will be no drowning
of my soul or me~

MGROVES, thank you, some days are like that...needing the warmth that isn't there.

icebox, made me smile thinking of those quotes too hard to pick out...thank you

Karilea, been one of those weeks when the path laid out doesn't seem to be enough

Warmth can always be found where friends reside. Well written and I liked the flow. Thanks for sharing, Maureen.

That stanza stands out in my mind.

Thanx for a wonderful read.

desert-spike, thank you for reading.

Paul, yes some days no matter what you do or say, you don't get ahead of yesterday.

iliana, thank you...just some morning feelings

Kathy, I haven't much choice but to like/accept the skin I am in.

tracie66, thank you for the read and comment

~ Now that, I can understand.

This entire write could be taken more than one way... this in particular:

"comparison, a phantom of
my opera
where nothing means what it should
and everything
belongs to someone else"

of course I think the entire write was good

and then He created the horse...

Hey Mike, sorry, my mind went blank for a moment when trying to recall names...the flu can do that to you. Hope you are enjoying PA.

Skyfire, yes it was meant to be taken more than one way...my thoughts are scattered at times.

Phil, thank you always for reading me.
