Illusioned Sweet I pass the time of lonely days Remembering each time we meet. Always in the back of mind, I hear the voice, illusioned sweet. I press those words, dry the tears So many ways lost to the fears... But there you are, unknown at times Supporting me with words in rhyme. In distant hold, awaiting when The silent breeze is ours again. Touch-me-eyes that burn my soul In shades of blue that harken dark. Taste of lips that leave me quotes, Pleasured thoughts to press their mark. Sometimes those doubts, unanswered whys Interfere with rainbows dreamed. A snapshot here, a snapshot there To split apart, what once was seemed. Words, just words, some new, some old Mindful grasping taking hold. Romancing You, romancing me To journey where we ought to be. But time, it takes its toll on love With images and thoughts thereof. I pass the time of lonely days Waiting for When Next We Meet Reflecting on, to hear again That voice in rhythm, illusioned sweet. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |
