Upon the Summer Breeze

Upon a summer breeze there cast
An odor fingering the past
It stirred my mind illusions will
Promises of desires fill

It warmed my heart a wrap of lace
A moment of a passing grace
A banquet I could not deny
A lover’s coup within a sigh

My senses caught the breeze in pull
I had the sense of three bags full
And melt into that mood of play
To stay with me the whole of day

And in this fall of pantomime
My life went back a moment’s time
To play once more a mellow fife
A banquet of my former life

Tranquility had slipped a notch
And offered me a do, not watch

and I am smiling here too, as you made me recall something my Dad said to me once--he said:

"I used to wake up, and if I felt bad, I was surprised. Nowadays, I wake up, and that's a surprise. The pain becomes inconsequential after a time..."

We love you sy. :kis:

Enjoyed the warm breeze, but once again it is your message that lingers long.

Thank you Sy for your words and your wisdom,
they so often set my thinking straight,
or straighter as the case may be.

and forever gives warmth and smiles
