Inked Affection
By Larry Chadwick
To Nancy Lee

I whispered my love to you
and I liked how it felt.

Then I spoke my feelings to you
knowing I was safe.

What I had spoken with my lips
I passed to you in a kiss
and I knew it was right.

I found my body longing
to express my heart.

And so ached to ink for you
my commitment with my signature.

I had never walked a trail
that meant as much to me
as that aisle.

So I must confess
I’d like to shout my love
to the world but
instead I thought
I’d tell everyone I know…

“That I am so in love with you.”

February 16, 2006

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Thank you and that some one (Nancy Lee) is my lovely wife.

exhale,
Well now, thank you. That is much appreciated.

Magnus,
Thank you. It's nice to cross paths with you. When I'm online at home it should happen more often.

Welcome to Passions! I am honored to be one of your first responses. And thank you for such kind words. I do hope you find this to be a lovely place and stay a long time. I'll search for your writing. Thanks. And cute name you've selected too.

Thanks. So true... so true.
