on the outside im a pure little angel,
with perfect manners to match.
maybe if you knew the real me,
my real self would be bad.
they see what they think is innocence,
with politeness and my charm.
but they dont know its all an act,
to keep myself from harm.
while they think im so naive,
they protect me from the world.
but once they see my strength
ill be left to cope alone.
so what you see isnt what you get,
im who they want me to be.
only theyll know the difference,
they dont know the real me.

It's a shame you feel like you have to be a certain someone for someone else...

I hope you find you one day

keep writing!
