you told me once
that you lived in a port city too

that your eyes held a sky-full and that
it was no coincidence

crossing off the numbers of July

i remember how
my limbs felt bare

how you gave me wings
and a little            serenity

that day

wrapped in a world caught…..
in a drop of rain

and you told me
only i could make you yearn for beaches

when blue fish swim in tears
as i try mightily, to hold back the tide

how i would love you, love you as no one ever did! Die and still, love you more. And still love you more..and more

OMG Maree, this is sooo beautiful,

you've outdone yourself this time Bella

damn, you do collapse me with your scribes!

seek the flame within yourself
and let your soul be cleansed by
the fire of love.  Axel Ekenstierna

Yup, gotta say that is some wonderful writing. I like it a lot dear girl.

Maree-

No one writes like you my dear
friend...long time I know. It's amazing
to me how you write with such an outpouring
of emotions-so much comes from your heart...

"and you told me
only i could make you yearn for beaches

when blue fish swim in tears
as i try mightily, to hold back the tide"

this is pure magic right here. I could read you forever.

Take care.

This was beautiful, with a lovely rhythmic pattern that took me right along. And deep, heart-felt analogous information here, with regards to the word serenity...it did bring tears to my eyes like a seafoam mist blown along a rock-lined shore.

Maree,

***BIG SIGH*** This was so beautiful and captivating...probably one of the best pieces I'v read by you. Something about it so powerful yet a quiet kind of power..stirred emotion deep inside of me. Breathtaking my friend, just breathtaking!

Take care.

What a magnificent read.
I love this verse the most!  The whole poem is exceptional, but this verse paints the picture for the reader.  I think so, anyway.  Great write.
