I have prayed for God to deliver me
That He may free me from you
Though I have loved you for years
I know you cannot love me too

I would like to wait forever
Part of me I guess always will
But I cannot live in hopeless dreams
Thinking someday maybe you will

You are beautiful beyond words
You stir my heart, mind and soul
I wish I would have never met you
Then I could have had a different goal

I have prayed for God to deliver me
That He may heal my heart
For I broke it myself against you
And allowed my dreams to tear it apart

I am sorry to have made you uncomfortable
I am sorry to have said anything at all
But I cannot ignore my feelings
And God will pick me up, after this fall

I will love you for always
Though it will not be returned
Do not afraid to love someone
Because love is always worth the burn

Jesus died for me
And He died for you
I need to focus on Him
And no longer on you
