Morning comes with an earthly turn,
awakening day...a chance to learn.
Routines grow old, and sometime tire
wanting the warmth of Emerald Fire.

For dreams borne to dusty shelf,
in lieu of tasks to keep oneself,
if left too long, lie in wait,
and pinions yearn to challenge fate.

Like melody, buried in neumatic scheme
requires attention to find its theme,
defines the symphony sought by spirit,
unfolds it where the soul can hear it,

Love abides the grief of rain
to wash and heal discordant pain,
gentles the dove on upward wing,
stays the heart, so it may sing.

When the distance seems too much,
your essence sighs for lack of touch,
close green eyes, for substance wrought,
feel love bloom within your thought.

Cool your feet in crystal springs,
hold onto life and all it brings.
She who loves you at end of day
sees no such thing as far away.

This is just gorgeous and very pleasing to read aloud, as well.

"She who loves you at end of day
sees no such thing as far away."

And this is what true love is all about...
the heart does not know distance.
Lovely write, much enjoyed.

YES.   I know that's not very constructive, but its the word I said when I'd finished reading. And it says it all.

Steven, I'm glad this one touched you. Some poems are just gifts meant for those who search and sigh silently. I only held the pen for this one.

Hugs,
Karen

Like Iliana, this is my favourite stanza in your beautiful poem.  It is very consoling.  Thank you.

To you all:  I am remiss in answering your comments to this poem, because I forgot that I posted it.  Thank you all.  Since I've been posting on the net, I've seen  love span a lot of distance! It's an incredible force.

Hugs, Klassy
