i've never been this possessive before

i admit that i'm obsessive to the core

            to hear her snore

           beside me at night

                   despite

the fact i haven't been able to find the right

      ways to avoid the plight

of rubbing her the wrong way

i know that i'm a long way

from redemption  in her eyes

so i'll just keep baking pies

and maybe on day i'll get lucky enough to surmise

                    a way

                 for us to play

             some backgammon
