Lace and Paper Hearts

Appearances; not prone too sentimental
Converses in a velvet tone so gentle

Your copper clad demeanor so restores
With simple verse, though genuine, adores

Sometime ago with widened eyes, a kiss
That thundered sweet goodbye in hope remiss

Yet then and there I knew my destiny
And held your heart here deeply within me

That now the hands of time let keep so gracious
Giving room for us to run in dreams left spacious

And it appears that what time fears has been ignited
In reverence, thus quietly, the fates delighted

A valentine cut from my satin sheets is spoken
Love made in lace and paper hearts unbroken
